| | Happy Freakin' Fourth of July | | Plans:
1) leave work early July 3 'cause office is closing at 3pm; shop for antipasta salad ingredients
2) have fun with Hubby's family, including brother visiting from out west, at Hubby's folks 7/4; bring antipasta salad
3) see fireworks 7/4
4) take Hubby's brother out sightseeing on the North Shore
5) entertain two couples we haven't seen in many months on Saturday night
Reality:
1) Take car to shop July 3 because it's due for inspection and is making a lot of noise suddenly. Leave work at normal time because shop is installing a complete new $400 exhaust system from the catalytic converter on back and it won't be done before 5:30, so there's no sense in getting there early.
2) Who knows what's going on 7/4; parents not doing anything, and SIL is notorious for last-minute stuff so maybe there'll be a cook-out, maybe not.
3) it's supposed to rain, so who knows about the fireworks
4) 7/5 wait at home for electrician ($85/hour) to fix vent fans. Maybe take brother out sightseeing 7/6.
5) Get-together hijacked by one of the other couples, we're all going to their house now, which I suppose I should be glad about, but I was really looking forward to hosting, and my feelings are a little hurt.
Oh well. Such is life.

Not much here - going to DH's folks for most of the day. Nothing special there, just grilled hot dogs and fixin's. Knowing MIL, though, there will be all kinds of stuff. Church tomorrow evening.
Go to sleep, get up and start Thursday.

| | Re Happy Freakin' Fourth of July | | I have to choose tomorrow. I have a couple of appointments tomorrow, despite the holiday, so, with my free time, I have two choices:
1. Go to a bbq on the lake
2. Drive half-way across the state to my storage facility from when I had my apartments, and get all the things I am missing -- my microwave, dishes, silverware, pots and pans, etc (and god knows what else is in there... I'm almost afraid...)
If I don't go to storage tomorrow, I will have to wait until the weekend, which will suck.
I can't do both because the window of time won't be long enough. |

| | Re Happy Freakin' Fourth of July | | On the way home from the barbecue on the lake, buy some frozen dinners (they *can* still be heatedin the regular oven) and some plastic utensils. Then the pots, pans, microwave, plates, etc., can wait for the weekend.

| | Re Happy Freakin' Fourth of July | | Happy Freakin' Fourth of July right back at you.
I'm finishing up my famous potato salad and last minute requested deviled eggs (those boys of mine are so cute when they beg....), we have a party to go to tonite. Supposed to do fireworks, but we're getting the storms tonite, so we'll see. I will just eat and drink beer.
Tomorrow, the annual Underwood parade. Dan will get up early and want to go to the parade. I will want to sleep. Guess who will make lots of noise and win.
Thursday back to work. Gah.

| | Re Happy Freakin' Fourth of July | | Oh MJ I'm sorry.
we're supposed to go to my mom's tomorrow. meh. I love her but BBQ with her and my brother and his girlfriend is just a chore I'd rather stay home and swim in the pool.
My car is being a pain, I'm pretty sure I need new brakes, I don't get paid until next Friday-so we may be taking the bus.

| | Re Happy Freakin' Fourth of July | | Boychild has to work at 10. Hubby is bbq-ing hoping to outsmart the rain. Missy invited her office mate over--since she'd be alone--and me?? Making macaroni salad, then settling down with a good book I think.
