It's extraordinary to me that the United States can find $700 billion to save Wall Street and the entire G8 can't find $25 billion dollars to save 25,000 children who die every day from preventable diseases.~ Bono
and it's a henna one.....y'all really didn't think I got a real one with needles and all that, did you?????
Why not? I bet a ton of EAers have one
When I was about six my dad bought me a fake tattoo. I thought it looked amazingly real, and I thought we should tell Mommy that it was real.
"Mommy knows more about tattoos than you do. She will know it's not real."
"How will she know?" I enquired.
"Well, when you get a real tattoo, there's needles, and it leaves little dots of blood at first. It gets covered in gauze and tape while it heals."
"We have gauze. And tape. I think we can fool her. We can use iodine for blood."
"Well then, tell your mother I took you to Bridgeport, and you had Spider Webb do your 'tat'" my dad replied with a big smile.
He went on to teach me about the "legendary" Spider Webb, and how to pull the gauze off, etc.
When Mom came home, I was so excited to show her.
"Mommy, Mommy! Daddy got me a tattoo!"
"Oh yeah?" she said with a smirk.
"Yeah, a REAL tattoo! Look!" I presented my gauze covered ankle to her. She glared at my father. I slowly pulled off the tape and peeled the gauze, covered in "blood," off of the fresh tattoo.
"Jim... she's six! That's... irre... child... Jesus, what will everyone think?!"
My father laughed an evil laugh and I joined in with a giggle. I think that was my first ever practical joke, and boy was it good!
