Re Happy Birthday Margaret!

Hehe, thanks guys!

So far I went grocery shopping, where I bought some HE detergent for my new washing machine Then I proceeded to do my first load of laundry. I have quite a few loads to do (like every towel I own, and at least three weeks worth of clothes) so I should finish some time next year. Thank god it's just me who hasn't had a washing machine for so long, and not a family of four!

I went to the flea market and picked up a painting for the kitchen. Happy birthday to me

I got a phone call from some old friends I haven't talked to in five years. They told me how much they missed me, and that they were thinking of me on my birthday. I wanted to cry

Pretty soon I'm going out for lunch. I chose the olive garden because I've been jonesing for their chicken scampi. I hope no one tells the waitress it's my birthday... :p

Then hopefully I'll have a chance to run to the Christmas Tree Shop while I'm over that way, where I can hopefully pick up a mirror for over my fireplace cheap. I've lowered my standards when it comes to the perfect mirror, so, hopefully the gods will smile on me.

So, so far, so good

I also had a fantastic birthday party thrown for me at work on Friday. The part of the building that my cubie is in has a system for birthdays. So, it was little surprise that everyone brought me food, and there was a cake, flowers, and a card. It was however, very appreciated. What was a surprise was the fact that they chipped in extra and bought me a Red Fiestaware pitcher as a house warming gift. They also went to a lot of trouble to get me a Friendlies Ice Cream cake, despite the fact they have no freezer where we are. Someone had that cooler hidden under her desk until it was time for cake!

Everyone also was tuned into what foods I like, and brought in favorites of mine. It was very nice. I have cried a lot of happy tears this birthday. I thought I was going to have a much harder time with this number than I am. Maybe it'll be more difficult next year when it's a 0 year.

Re Happy Birthday Margaret!

Nah, you're never late!

Thanks guys!

I went to Olive Garden and enjoyed my chicken scampi. I came back to my parents house and enjoyed some cake. Then I went to Lowes to buy a gift for my father to give me . That's how I got the convection/toaster/rotisserie/food dehydrator/pizza oven and a coffee maker.

Then I went home and struggled with my washer Then I called Home Depot. They're going to call me back today to discuss bringing me a new one or trying to repair the one I have. Until then I have damp clothes full of soap that I really can't do anything with... let's hope this gets resolved quickly!

All in all it was a good birthday. I just hope I don't have too many more days of struggling with the washer :p

Re Happy Birthday Margaret!

I'm late too. Sorry. Happy Birthday!!!!

Tell them you want it replaced. You bought a new one so that's what you want.
