I was looking into airfares just now, and on Spirit, it seems there is now a charge for each piece of checked luggage. I think it's quite high, too - $10/piece each way, $5/piece if you pre-purchase online. If you cancel, the luggage fees are non-refundable. More than 2 pieces, $100 each.
Is this a Spirit thing, or are airlines going to be charging for air next?

Heard about luggage fees a while ago. It's starting to make sense to overnight your stuff to your hotel via FedEx instead.
