The kids are gone - for the whole week!

I should be packing, but I'm still in my pj's.

Actually, I've got other things to do besides pack today. The car needs some work, I need to get some paperwork picked up and signed to go to the bank, and I need to shop for just-two-people food.

What are y'all doing this week?

Kids are at grandmas? That's a good place for them.

I have "the weeks from hell" from now until mid-September. Something after work every single night. The only consolation is that last year, Jeremy was too tired to go to karate during the week, so I had Tuesdays and Thursdays "off" from driving back to town.

Saturday I think I am getting visitors and we are going to the fair in Lincoln. I hope so!!!!

I have a stress test tomorrow morning, then I'm freed up until Thursday when the designer lady is coming. Friday is a BBQ lunch for 100, so it's not that big of a week.

My kids start school Wednesday.

We volunteered to house train and friend's dog? Actually I didn't volunteer but it fell out of my husband's mouth. I'm not sure what he was thinking!

Back to school and a few meetings today--helping pack up the boy child, taking him to school tomorrow--school to finish my classroom on Wednesday, possibly another meeting on Thursday--and a workshop on Friday ( on Smart boards!!)

I'm getting started on cleaning Sean's room today. I keep having to take breaks, so as not to have a complete nervous breakdown from the overwhelming magnitude of this job.

We're deep in the house cleaning/repair process. I've thrown out a lot already. Ripped out 4 shrub beds and replanted. Pressure cleaned the patio enclosure and pool, we've fixed door jams and towel bars, Brian cleaned the garage, organizing, cleaning, throwing out. It's stressful, but productive.

You wouldn't have liked what I dreamed up. It was this thick, textured stuff, and you not only had the floor carpeted with it, but the WALLS as well!

Sometimes I think I need padded walls.

Packing up stuff to bring to the X today. It's difficult. There is some crap that is just his, but what to do with the old photos and memory things? I don't want to throw out the past, but I don't know what to keep, what to give him and what to ditch.

I'd probably pack up the maybes and then tuck the box way back in a closet or in the attic.

I know - I just don't want to go through it all now. They're my memories and most of them are very happy. We're divorced, so do I give him half the photos? Do I keep them. And then there are boxes and boxes of "keepies" from our time together - play bills, ticket stubs, etc. I'm planning on putting the house on the market and I can't pack and move all this stuff, but throwing it out feels like throwing out my past. I'll have to work through it.

I threw out a lot of that stuff when I moved on, and I don't regret it for a minute. You might just want to ask him what he wants, then decide if you are going to keep the rest.
