Alternate title: why it's probably best the boyfriend and I aren't reproducing.
Actual conversation from last night:
Me: Wait, I forgot the Zip drive. No. Flash drive. I forgot the flash drive. Why do I always want to call it a zip drive?
Him: Well, zip drives came first. And they weren't really around long enough to really associate them with anything.
Me: And they had a MUCH cooler name.
Him: So what's the connection between flash drives and flash mobs?
Me: Short of the one making the other more logistically feasible? I don't think there is one.
Him: So, what does a zip mob do?
Me: Oddly enough, they flash people.

I think he was just riffing on flash-drive flash-mob zip-drive.
At least I hope he was.
We both agreed that if zip mobs existed, they would have been part of the punk movement in England in the 70's.
