| | My dryer doesn't work yet.
Plug doesn't match cord. Hubby bought new cord today. Hopefully, he can install soon. We have enough clean clothes for a while - with the exception of his work clothes - but air dried towels aren't much fun. And all but 4 were used in packing. I had hoped to save out more clean towels than that, but a bunch got used in packing up the fridge shelves (glass) and the entertainment center shelves (wood, but didn't want the edges all nicked).

| | If he doesn't get the cord on the dryer tonight, yep, laundromat or friends. Luckily, I already have friends here.
Towels aren't quite as crunchy if you have the energy to shake them out really well, snapping them in the air several times. But still no fun.

| | Funny thing about big, exhausting, emotionally fraught projects like moving. You put all your effort into getting the job done and don't let yourself get all upset and worked up. Then a few days later when the worst is over, but you're still working like a dog, folks start letting down their guard. Then you get things like the desire to THROTTLE YOUR SPOUSE BECAUSE HE'S BEING AN ABSOLUTE GIT.
Or so I've heard.

What triggers that GIT button anyway. Someone please explain it to me. | Don't know about your DH, but for mine it's hard work. I absolutely DREAD when something around the house needs fixed, if it's more than just an completely dead-easy repair. He gets so worked up and he can't stand for people to be around, for people to talk, for someone to misunderstand him, etc.
He did really good on Saturday. He even apologized in advance for if he got grouchy and spoke ugly. So then, of course, he behaved really well.
Sunday and Monday have been an entirely different matter. I love him, but I'm just as tired as he is and I'm not snapping at everything and everyone.

| | Don't mention cars to me. Long trips actually aren't that bad, but my DH has developed a bad habit of becoming Nervous Nellie when I'm driving, *especially* in an unfamiliar area. Which makes for real fun right now, I'm sure you can guess.
He tells me to turn when I know the turn, and doesn't tell me to turn when I'm about to miss it. My speed, my decisions about when to get over, etc. drive him crazy and he yammers on about almost all of it. He *tries* to be good, which is something - at least he's aware - but I don't think I'm going to drive with him anywhere else for a while.
Pictures? Uh, sure. As soon as every box is unpacked! Which will be, you know, about this time next year. Or maybe even by the time we're ready to move again.
