Or at least it looks like I am.
They're filming a segment of 30 Rock in my building. Except they have the lobby turned into the Clinton office. There's a huge portrait of Bill hanging by the elevators. And a directory for the 125th Street address. And they've swapped out all the fluorescent lighting and brought in lots of potted plants, and...
Oh, and several tons of equipment and film crew galore have overtaken the place.
We're waiting patiently for the celebs to show up. Well, not me. I'm waiting for a big project to hit my desk. 
Eh, I think I'll take a trip down to the lobby in the meantime. Maybe they'll let me snap some photos.

Well, things are moving very slowly. Don't they know I'm too busy to wait for them to do their jobs. 
Snapped a few shots of the lobby and the hubbub. No celebs. Although Alec Baldwin and Edie Falco are here somewhere.
I'll put together a photo album to share if y'all are interested. The building directory they created is a hoot.

They were nice. I didn't get to chat with any of them but some of my colleagues did.
I was busy taking pictures from my window and wasn't around when they were breaking the set and had time to schmooze.
I was tempted to stay late. They started setting up the indoor shots around 5.

Sounds like fun!
They're filming a Tim Allen movie on "my" green. There were a lot of other stars too, but I forgot who. I haven't been downtown this week, so I've been missing all the hullaballoo.

I was visiting NY when Clinton's office opened, and I remember a political cartoon from the Daily News.
Clinton was standing in front of his Harlem office building with a huge smile on his face.
And, right above him, a huge banner proclaimed, "President Clinton's Harem Office."
Have fun with the 30 rockers, but please, Sara, don't join the Harem.... |

Party's over.
The building is back to being it's old drab boring self. Even the plants in the lobby are gone.
It'll take me a little time to put together a photo album, but I'll post a link when it's ready.

LOL Margo...Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan are from Saturday Night Live. 30 Rock is a funny show that's got extremely dry and slightly wacky humour, which is probably why I like it.
Morgan's Brian Fellows, who may be the Stupidest Character Ever Invented, makes me laugh just thinking about him.
It sort of grows on you.

I never watch 30 Rock. I don't dislike it, but it never grabbed me the way it has grabbed some people. Same with the Office, though, so go figure... |

What Leslie said, especially with The Office. I watched an episode after my friends kept raving about it, and didn't see the big deal. So, I rented an entire season. I watched two, was annoyed beyond belief and wanted that hour of my life back. |

That's the way I felt about The Office's original brit version the first time I saw it. It grew on me, though.
Also, the American version was not very good for the first few eps while they were copying the brit version.
But different strokes for different folks!
I like 30 Rock, too. Alec Baldwin's character cracks me the heck up. And Tina Fey rocks. | |
