| | Dizzer than usual. I can't drive, I managed to go out to the county this morning but shouldn't have, and #1 had to drive out and rescue all of us. I was so dizzy I was afraid to try and drive home. Has anyone ever had something like this? What do I do? |

| | call your doctor.
It might be nothing. Could be fluid in the ear. I had dizzy spells when I was reacting to some meds. Don't get frightened, but better to check it out. |

| | Is it vertigo? I've had that and it's horrible. Antivert helps, but you need to get on it fast.

| | call your doctor. could be something simple, like low blood pressure or low blood sugar, in which case eating something might help. could be reaction to a medicine. could be circulation. could be a million things. but regardless, call your doctor. |

| | You could stand in your backyard with your arms outstretched, rapidly spinning in the opposite direction of the dizziness to see if you can get the two directions to counter-act each other. Or maybe you could call your doctor.

Ok, I'll call my doctor. But, I can't drive unless I am less dizy. It could be a problem. Maybe he can diagnose it over the phone? Hmmm. |

| | Call your doc, Cindy. I've had labrynthitus three times, with minor recurrences between attacks.
It's NASTY.
I did get some "exercises" to teach my brain to accept the spinning and get over it already, but with your history, you definitely want to have your doc involved in the decision. I know how awful, scary and annoying this is.

| | Yes by all means call the doc. My grade partner had a bout with vertigo last year, she knew what it was but still needed to see the doc. Call.

| | Ok, calling tomorrow, then we'll see what I can do. I am hoping to find a friend who has a day off, since my doctor is in the States. Right about now, I would just love to see him, though. |

| | #1 has class then works till 9:30. Wednesday he has off, so I'll aim for an appointment then. No medical shuttle around here, taxi would cost $50. I already called. Bleah. I;'ll see how I feel tomorrow. I slept a lot today and I feel way better than I did yesterday. So, my fingers are crossed. |

| | Helen or Marty. Or one of your nice neighbors.
I wouldn't push for you to get in sooner but for your medical history. And you don't want to be spinning around in your house and fall down.

| | Helen and Marty are in Europe, Gary is inCalifornia, Nina's car broke down...get where I'm going with this? My timing is bad. However, it is way, way better this morning. I have't fallen so far or felt nauseated- that's an especially good thing. I'm going to call now for an appointment when #1 has a day off. |

| | It does sound like the vertigo crap I've had. Try this if you can:
Sit on the bed. Lay down on your side with your hands under your head. No pillow. Close your eyes and SLOWLY lift your head to about a 45 degree angle and hold for 5 seconds. Repeat for a total of three times. When the spinning stops, sit up and do the other side (don't just roll over). You are training your brain to accept the spinning. Do this 3 times daily.
And drink LOTS of water. If it's an inner ear thing, you'll need to replace fluid.
