I received 2 phone calls and 2 text messages after 10 last night.
I answered the first phone call. Teammate wants to back out of the walk. I tried to hide my sleepy voice (which is a very annoyed voice) and tell her "just come, please." I go back to bed.
Next the text message from another teammate. "Do we need to turn in our donations at the walk if we haven't submitted them yet?" I message back "yes." I roll over to go back to bed. Next she text messages me to tell me she might not be there because her daughter (also on the team) has strep. I don't have the strength or energy to reply.
Next someone calls at midnight. I look at the caller ID and don't recognize the number. I swear at whoever is calling that late, half-heartedly, without even answering the phone. Do you think they would at least leave a message? No, they disturbed my sleep for nothing.
At 6 am, when I woke up, I wanted to call that person and wake their ass up too :p
Is it just me? There are very few people I'll call before 10 am or after 8 pm. I was taught it was rude to do otherwise (unless, of course, it's an emergency.)
I unplug my phone in my room if I go to bed, and all of my friends know to check to see if I'm online. If they see me, they call, if not, they would never. And only one friend would call after 10 anyway, and that's Gary. Since we both stay up too late, he sometimes calls as late as 11:30, but I don't ever call anyone but him after 9:30 or 10. I'd be pissed too, Margaret, especially since they know you have to be up early, too.
