True story: a couple of weeks ago I was actually asked to make a tiny logo smaller. On a 2" x 3" button. Why? Because the logo's buffer zone was impinged upon. It's a 2" x 3" button! The logo ended up being about 1/4" tall. Yep. That's effective. But at least there was nothing immediately around it.

I once saw it. And actually, the reverse was true. I was the marketing wonk and I was dealing with a graphic designer who had apparently been raised in a circus.
