Power Failure in Connecticut

Below is an excerpt from an email I received today from someone who is working on a project for me:

Quote:
Well I had quite the hectic day. Our power went out at 1:30 this afternoon and did not come back on until 9:30 at night! Can you believe it? 2000 homes without power because a squirrel chomped on a line somewhere.

They are in training for their takeover.

I really like our neighborhood Groundhog. I'm voting for him!

Re Power Failure in Connecticut

I have to share my thought process with you.

When I saw this thread, my mind went:

There was a power failure in CT?

There was a power failure in CT big enough to warrent a thread on EA?

There was a power failure in CT big enough to warrent a thread on EA, and I didn't even know about this power failure?

I do have power. Yeah, else I wouldn't be reading this. I drove through numerous towns on my way home. They had power too, right? Yes, else the lights would have been out.

Must be somewhere I don't care about.

I'm sorry for your neighbor's squirrel issues. I guess the friend should invent squirrel-proof wires, since he/she seems to think they are so overdue!

Re Power Failure in Connecticut

Happened on Monday in Fairfield. Took out 2000 homes. That's a lot of damage for one stinkin squirrel.
