Although, you never can tell with me - and besides, it's much closer from me to Vankleek than it is for you from Farmersville. Hmmm, it might be a really nice trip.

I wouldn't expect you to drive up, Cindy, although, I won't discourage you either.
Looking at Google Maps it appears like Vankleek Hill is even smaller than Farmersville so we ought to feel at home. We are trying to decide whether to go up a few days early or hang around a little longer, but don't know what we'd do with our time.
Her band has nine members and it looks like most will get to go. We'll also have a following from the membership, although there's no way to tell how many right now.
Oh! If you go up early, you should go to Algonquin park. That's sort of what I have in mind if I can get organized. The park is approx. 5 hours fropm, Vankleek Hill, but since I'll be that far north, I am all set to see the park too.

It's actually closer to me!! Slick, definitely take some time.. looks like it's between Ottawa and Montreal. Ottawa is a beautiful city and well worth the time to visit.

I ALWAYS drive the speed limit in Canada unless I'm on the QEW.. in which case I'm going about 30 km less than the crazies, shrieking my head off, and gripping the steering wheel until my knuckles are white.

it took three phone transfers at Montreal's Sysco food division to find someone that didn't speak only French and also understood Texan. This is gonna be an adventure.
I drive near there about once every two years when I go from the western suburbs of Montreal to the family farm in WInchester.

Well, we leave Thursday. The smoker, wood and everything else is in place for me to start cooking at around 3 AM Saturday morning so we can feed at 5 PM. We will have services on Friday and Saturday nights, then again on Sunday morning. The plane back to Dallas leaves at 1:15 PM Sunday.
We couldn't go up early or stay late because the group discount we received required at least half of the group do the same. We couldn't get enough to either. I'm excited about the trip and Tracy is a little on edge. If it wasn't a church oriented trip I'd have in the airport bar before the flight.

A coworker is flying on 9/11 out of JFK. I can't do that. Apparently airlines have very very low prices on 9/11 though.

Don't feel bad because this is going to be a hit the ground running trip with little time for anything else. I'm pretty sure that we will have to go back once we realize what we missed.
