Woke up this a.m. with a sore throat, earache, neckache, and cough again. I've been nursing a low grade fever for the past day.
I hesitate to go in to the dr. because it still feels like a cold, but when, oh when, will I feel better?????

| | It's like 98.8. Which is equivalent to 99.9 for a normal person.
And the sore throat and earache are (I'm pretty sure) just from the post-nasal drip - it's only on the side I sleep on, but it hurts like the dickens.
I'll just sleep and drink tea all weekend. I don't think we have big plans.

| | Add honey to your tea - it's better than cold medicine. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well.

| | Lynn, are you feeling better yet? Have you tried gargling warm salt water and irrigating nose with same? That might help with the sore throat AND the earache. (I need to go do this myself, actually.)

| | Thanks for asking Helen...I'm a bit better (been drinking honey lemon tea by the gallon), but Dan has it bad. He got a script yesterday for a sinus infection, and I'm hoping that does the trick for him.

| | I'm glad you're better, Lynn. Hopefull the Rx will fix Dan up in no time at all. I think these viruses spread over the internet, LOL.
My sore throat is better, although it must have been really bad for me to notice it with all the Aleve and Tylenol I'm taking for the knees. Now Marty is down with a stomach bug. Don't know how he did it, as the last person with symptoms like his has been gone from the house for a week! That's some incubation period! It could have been what he ate yesterday, since we ate out and all ordered different things except for the spring rolls, but the rest of us are just fine.

| | Okay, so I guess it was just hiding. Yesterday I woke up not feeling well, then skipped choir practice because I couldn't deal with singing and was just TIRED. Today, woke up REALLY not feeling well, got Jer off to school, went back to sleep for 2 hours. Called doc and got in this a.m.
I have a particularly nasty sinus infection, which has probably been going on since before Christmas. He gave me some super antibiotics, told me to take Sudafed and REST REST REST.
Blech.

| | Drat! Sinus infections really take the tuck out of you. But you should be feeling better soon.

| | Good Golly, when it rains it pours.
Hubby came to bed last night and was just shaking. About 2 hours later, he's up, yakking like a cat with a permanent hairball. Stomach flu. He came back to bed and I said "DO NOT BREATHE NEAR ME." Poor thing...I just hope he keeps it to himself.
Neither one of us slept very well last night, neither one of us is going to work today.

We had a young teen throw up in the middle of hymn-singing Sunday morning. It's a very small building, I hope he keeps his to himself, as well!

| | Around here it's been a stomach virus that... um... causes everything to run for the usual exit, let's say. Hubby's had it off and on with varying severity for about a week. Half his class has been out sick for at least a day.

| | Never ends, does it? This month if I use my asthma meds faithfully, along with Nasonex, and all my vitamins, maybe I won't move right back into the throat/chest infection I thought I dodged over Christmas. It was snowing this morning, now everything's thawing again. Aaaagh, the molds! (wheeze)
