| | First time in like 30 years. I'm staying at one of the Disney properties (Port Orleans). I'm supposed to be at a ceremony in about 45 minutes... been waiting on my business partner, but I may ditch him (he's the president of the company -- hehe)... he's not yet arrived. |

| | Ooh, when we were at Disney World, we stayed at another property but went to Port Orleans every night for Cafe au Lait and beignets. Enjoy!

| | Oh, Jeff did not mention beignets. Me want!
That was the first thing I ordered when we landed in France. We hadn't even learned how to use the Francs yet (and boy did that piss off our server!)
My favorite Disney place to eat was IN Disney. I forget what it was called, but it was a kitchy restaurant where everyone dressed like Mamma on Mamma's Family. Our waitress seemed to think she was our sister, and she encouraged us to draw on the table. We had down home cookin' and we had smores for dessert. It sounds very Mickey Mouse, but, we had hit the bar in this place first and we really enjoyed all the kitch. |

| | Mmm, beignets! Yum. I could so go for those along with a good cup of that coffee Gary buys from New Orleans. |

| | Beignets, bah. I could go for some good old Florida weather right about now. It's minus 17 in my office.

| | I think it must have been about 70 today in NY and CT :o We were so hot, everyone was complaining. It got to 81 degrees in my building. We had the windows open and the fans turned on. Seriously.
Gonna be back to 40 tomorrow though. Brr.
I'll take the beignets and 60 degree dry weather, please |

| | We're going to try eating at a place called the Portobello Yacht Club tonight. It's at Pleasure Island, some so-called adult-oriented (not porn, just no kids under 21) part of the Disney experience.
Or at least I hope there's no porn... |

| | No, it just means they don't encourage kids so you can get a break from that at Disney.
Victoria & Albert's restaurant actually banned kids this week. That's at the Grand Floridian. Never been there (meaning the restaurant), but I hear it's quite posh. I prefer the Polynesian. It's been a little while, though.
Let us know how you like the Portobello. On my last visit I was pretty happy with every dining experience we had. They had an awesome meal plan we took advantage of, but I think they have since scaled it back. |

| | We didn't wind up there. My other business partner (not my boss) said that he could get us into House of Blues at 7:30. We showed up at 7:30 and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, until 9:45.
If we would had gone to Portobello's, we could have been heading back to the hotel by then, since we had to be up early today (trade show starts at 8am).
Meanwhile, I have to be checked out of the hotel and ready to take the shuttle back to the airport at 4:15am tonight. Blech. |
