| | I was fine this morning until I got to work, where, by everyone's admission, it was freezing. I took the space heaters of everyone who was hot flashing and put them outside my cubie (I'm in the middle cubie next to two other women who were freezing). With all the space heaters on the other ladies warmed up within three hours. I never did.
I had pants, a sweater, a full length cashmere coat, and a BLANKET! on all day long at work. I even wore gloves whenever I wasn't typing.
I couldn't wait to go home. I was good in the car. I was good in the grocery store. Now I'm home and I'm freezing again.
Worm passed her condition on to me!!! I'm freezing and I can't get warm!
Edited to add that it's 70 degrees in the room I'm in, and I have the same clothes on (without the coat) and a heavy fur blanket on. Brr! |

| | it's horrible, isn't it.
Are you sleeping ok at night?
I find when I'm overly tired, its worse - when I don't sleep well (which I haven't in ages) there is like a bone chilling cold from the inside out.
Get in bed and start over tomorrow. |

| | No, I keep falling asleep really early, then I wake up around midnight and stay up for a few hours, then fall back asleep til 5 or 6 am when I get up.
I'm going to try to force myself to stay up til 10 tonight, then have a full night's sleep. Brr. |

| | I think part of my problem was dehydration, too. I drank water ALL DAY LONG today trying to make up for it but I think I am still dehydrated. |

| | Oh, I got you all beat.
Went in for my annual today. I swear to God, the room was 50 degrees. And there I was, in all my glory in a backless freaking gown and sheet, freezing my a$$ off.
The nurse walked in, said "Wow! It's cold in here!" and I said "Try being in my place, sister."
I won't even talk about the icy apparatus and doctor's hands.

| | I told a GYN off one time because of the temps.
He said he's always hot with his lab coat over his clothing.
I told him that ALL his patients are left waiting for him half naked in freezing rooms, and that if he couldn't be on time, he should at least have warm offices.
I think he wrote "difficult patient" in my chart. |

| | Wormie, I got left in a GYN(have we scared all the men off yet ) office for I think, at least two hours-maybe more-it sure seemed like it, the dr got called to deliver a baby and they forgot about me. In the gown, sitting on the table, with workmen on a scafolding outside the window.

| | The story I got from the doc is that it happens in the corner rooms every winter -they've had the HVAC guys out constantly, and no one can find a reason or be able to fix it.
So my comment back was "so why do you put the naked people in the corner rooms". He said "good point" and told the nurses to quit using the corner rooms until the cold snap snaps.
