Forget junk e-mail, I can delete those and move on with my life. Lately I’ve been getting junk texts sent to my cell phone. Other than being annoying, the part that ticks me off the most is the fact I have to pay for this crap! I don’t have a text plan, so it’s 15 cents for every text I send or receive. Granted, that’s not much, but it adds up, and I already have to pay for the occasional text from people I know. It’s aggravating, and I’m not sure what I can do about it other than set up my phone so I can only get texts from people in my contacts.

I am getting them too and I have my cell phones on the do not call list also.
I think there should be a reporting spot where we can copy down the details & report the people in violation & get them fined!
But, that's just me. (Matter of fact, my hubby & I both got one, him last night & me this morning). I dislike them with a passion!
I will have to see if I change the text options, but I don't recall ever seeing that on my provider's website.

You CAN report them and get them in trouble - contact your cell phone company. Verizon for one is suing some company for sending text spam, IIRC.

I've got Verizon, so I'll have to check out the site to see what it has to say. Unfortunately I've already deleted all the ones I've gotten so far, but I think I should be able to see a listing of all the texts I've sent/received online.
