*shudder* Riding. You need boots of some sort for riding. Aside from that, I see no need for them. and I prefer riding boots to cowboy boots. |

I have a sweet pair of black cowboy boots with roper heels and a lovely dress pair in brown. Then again I also have Doc Martens, 80s slouch boots and others. I just love boots. |

Actually, in our circles (some of them, anyway), cowboy boots, jeans and a western shirt are standard dress for many occasions. Add a cowboy hat and yer dun.
I have all of those things, and will wear them all together when the situation dictates. I draw the line at anything that's not "horse" related, however.

I went to a wedding where it was suggested we wear cowboy boots. I didn't, of course. I wasn't gonna buy a pair just for a wedding
The bride wore them even in the church, but wore a normal veil. When she got out of the limo at the reception place, she had her cowboy hat on :o She got out and danced to "Red Neck Woman," her husband danced to "Friends in Low Places" (with his friends) and I have no clue what their first dance together was. It was their day, and it fit with them, so it was all very sweet. |

I just LOVE cowboy boots, and if I have to go back to that forsaken place I will buy pink ones. Mine are grey suede and have beautiful embroidery and tassels!! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Them. And I don't line dance but I wore them to work yesterday and out and about today! They're hot!!! |

Those are really cute. I haven't had cowboy boots since my folks bought me Tony Lama's (boys boots) when I was a youngen....Still have them, but my feet have GROWN a lot!

Oh, they're so cute! I love the color. I have a pair of pink and a dress pair of tan. Next is a pair of Ropers - they'll be so practical for outdoor work. That and a pair of Carhartts.
