| | Re Happy Easter - It's snowing | | Ha!! It snowed those same flakes here yesterday. It is sooooo cold. Not supposed to be like that on Easter. I wore pants to church this morning. I never wear pants on
Easter. Wore the ole' winter coat too. Never do that either!!
My potatoes are boiled, making potato salad. My eggs are chilled, and the kids dyed them last night. They still like to do that. I'll make deviled eggs. And Ham. And a big ole huge salad. I got all the fixin's and trimmin's for a monster size salad. That is a sure sign of spring.
Easter bunny came and left too much candy. He left some other stuff in the baskets. My kids still have their baskets from their First EAster. We use them every year.
He He He He He He (Missy forgot which one was hers) He He He He He (Her brother remineded her quickly when she went after his!!!!)

| | Re Happy Easter - It's snowing | | That's what happens when you have the once-in-100-years this-early Easter! Of course in Buffalo, we had snow on Mother's Day one year.
We are doing nothing for Easter, and it feels weird. We didn't do cards, Easter baskets, nothing. Because I've been sick and there's been a lot of stuff going on, we just had our St. Patrick's Day corned beef and cabbage last night, I kid you not. No family dinner today, I didn't go to my church today - I can't sing any of the songs and it's tiring to explain to people where I've been all week, why I'm not singing, etc., so I went to Hubby's church "where absolutely no one knows your name" (to paraphrase the Cheers theme song). Later today I'm going grocery shopping. I didn't shop last weekend, didn't shop all week, won't have time at all this week, out of town this coming weekend, so it's now or never.
I feel rather, er, Jewish this Easter Should I order Chinese food later, or is that only for Christmas?

| | Re Happy Easter - It's snowing | | Oh, and for your entree, egg foo young.
My Easter was purdy. Mom sent me a basket about a week ago from the Popcorn Factory. She stopped by my work last weekend and gave me a singing chick... And I got a card from her on Friday. I guess she is missing me Went over there for easter dinner tonight. You know, the dinner you eat at noon.
I made Kevin an easter basket, brought my mom a tulip plant, bought my dog a squeeky toy, and brought my dad left over Aroz con Pollo, so everyone got something from me today Except my uncle, but, he ran out so fast on Christmas that he never got his gift. So he got to open his xmas present today. Hope there's still some time to wear that fleece before it gets too warm out! :p |

| | Re Happy Easter - It's snowing | | I think I made the best Potato Salad ever!!! It was really good!!
The ham wasn't bad either. I didn't realize until I opened it that it was spiral sliced. Nice!! Hubby picked it out. He knew all along but didn't tell me.
No walking this weekend. Starting back up tomorrow morning. I have a meeting at 10, so before that I hope to do my 3.

| | Re Happy Easter - It's snowing | | I have Easter every year for my side of the family. The food was good. Honey Baked ham, cheesy potatoes, sweet potatoes, salad, green beans with roasted almonds, deviled eggs and some mostaccoli and rolls. Cake and pie for dessert that my sister made. Dad was here, sisters, my kids and their so's; but no Mom First holiday (other than my birthday) without her. It was hard but we did okay.
Happy Easter everyone! |

| | Re Happy Easter - It's snowing | | MJ I had the non-Christmas this year due to being sick...I'm sorry you had the non-Easter.
We had a great Easter. Very low key. Really nice church services (I went to sunrise with the boys and then 10:15 by myself), took a long nap, basic ham dinner (ham, baked potatoes, corn, lefse, pineapple), took a long walk with the dog, bought the boy a car, got ready for work tomorrow and just hung out tonite.
Thanks for the good wishes Wormie. Easter has become way more of a spiritual holiday for me in the past few years...and it really was a nice one!
(Talked to Mom and they got snow Friday, Saturday AND today....still digging out. Thank God I don't live in Minnesota...we just got little flurries that were annoying!)

NO SIS I HAVE NOT TOLD MOM YET. I talked to her last night, but the boy was not in the house, I was going to let him tell Nana.
Neighbors had a nice used car for dirt cheap that is in good shape. He'll get to drive it once he passes his permit test (age 14 in Iowa.... ).
Sometimes you just can't pass something up.

#2 is going to take the test in a couple of weeks- to get his supervised permit he needs to begin taking classes! He won't be alone on the road until he's 17, and then only in small increments. |

| | Re Happy Easter - It's snowing | | Wow. Our kids couldn't get their permit until age 16. They had to keep it at least 6 months, and parents had to sign off that the kid had 50 hours of on-road experience. To get the permit, they had to pass a written (on computer) knowledge test of PA laws. After that, and 6 months they take a road test.
Our kids were 17 before they took the road test. We felt 16 was too young.

Mine has officially been registered for kindergarten already. Starts in August.
We had snow here Saturday night and flurries Sunday. It stuck in the snow, a little in the gutters, but melted off quickly! WHEW!
