Well... the food was all on the table. Then the elephants came and the first thing they did was brush a lot of the food off the table onto the floor. Some only wanted bananas (they ate them with the skins on - I don't know why I expected them to peel the bananas!) and some only wanted bread, so they rooted around with their trunks until they found what they wanted. By the time they were done, there was food everywhere and they'd peed a river.
