Gas Revisited

Corner station $3.70 a gallon. Lowest I've seen this week is $3.67.
How about where you live?

$3.47 is the cheapest here in town, down the street from me. I can get in the next town over for about 6 cents cheaper, usually. I try to remember to get gas when I'm over in the next town, which I am quite often.

$3.85 at the corner, lower at BJ's. I was thinking how aghast we were last year when it broke $2.

$3.70 is the lowest I've seen. Most are up to $3.75 or $3.76. But that was yesterday. Could be worse today.

$3.79 is the lowest I've seen today. Usually up about $.04/day it seems like. I doubt they are getting daily deliveries, so I am suspicious of price gouging.

Busy stations will get daily deliveries - sometimes more than once/day. And the price will change if the delivery price changes.

Our "cheap" station went to $3.75, but other stations are less. Lukoil is the highest around. Hess is still at $3.55. I think there is a Gulf nearby at $3.49.

3.71 at BJ's, but a long line so I'll wait until tomorrow.

3.56 here... and with Giant grocery, I get a 10 cents off each gallon of gas coupon. I know it will end, soon, it's only a promotional device.. but until then.. I shop for groceries AND buy gas at Giant.

Just make sure you're not paying more for the groceries than you're saving on the gas.

I usually get my gas at Sam's Club, since I drive by Sam's every day.

I filled up today, and it was $3.41 a gallon.

$3.39 at a Sinclair station nearby.

This thread scared me since I had dairy last night. There was a lot of revisiting. Blech.

$3.45 a gallon for regular unleaded. If we had a King Soupers with a pump I could get it 10 cents a gallon off-but I'm not driving to flipping Thornton to get gas. Driving 20+ miles to save a few cents defetes the purpose right?

I paid $4.19 for diesel on Saturday. I bought a whopping 24 gals for $100.

We recently dropped are down from 3.44 to 3.33. They jump up .15/gal here then drop for a penny or two for the next couple of weeks!

Which wouldn't be near so bad if it was like a Volkswagen Golf or something (do they still make those?) But it being a Suburban makes it that much more painful. Needless to say we've slowed down considerably and are getting used to being passed and single-fingered signaled on the highway.

The news this morning said gas could soon rise ANOTHER 30 cents a gallon!

I have heard rumblings of that as the barrel is almost at $120...end of summer the experts claim it will be around $4.50 to $5.00.

years and years...and years ago when I worked at several gas stations-it worked like this-several times per day-at least twice, the manager or assistant manager would go out and check out the prices of the other stations within a certain mile radius-then adjust our prices accordingly-so sometimes it changed twice a day-not because we got more gas-but because it was adjusted to whatever the current market could bear... so to speak...

Ours jumped up yesterday to 3.47. A .14 increase in a matter of hours.
