A new game

I want to have a scavenger hunt. I haven't been on one in a long time, and I don't think I've ever done one online before. I'm going to have some time on my hands this weekend and I think it would be fun to give this a try. So, here are the rules:


1. I'm going to ask a random 3rd party to come up with a list of items we all need to find. I'll post the list by Thursday.

2. After getting the list, you need to find the items on the list, take a photo of them, and then create a gallery and post your pics in it. I'm not sure if the gallery can be here on EA or if a new Photobucket account will be in order. Amy can issue a ruling on this.


3. You get points for finding the item at all, more points for originality and stilll more points if you are also in the picture. Huge bonus points if you can include a celeb in the picture. In other words, if one item is 'man wearing a hat', then technically a police officer would count, but Fitty Cent wearing a chef hat would get a lot more points. Mr. Cent wearing those items whilst holding MJ in a warm embrace would clearly win that round. Just saying.

4. Deadline for posting pics will be Monday evening, but feel free to post early. I'll try and find a judge or two. I also will not compete, although I do want to play just for the amusement value.

5. Prizes, because without a prize it just wouldn't be a contest: I just so happen to have some nice crap laying around which I will be happy to award the winner. I might even be persuaded to include a batch of the World's Best Brownies, which I just so happen to make. If GGE happens by and starts making noises about being the real baker of the World's Best Brownies, just humour him, he's cute. However, mine really are the best.

(*ahem* Mine really are the best. She puts brown sugar in hers, which I think is just weird, and she cannot put pecans in them for good reasons. Brownies without pecans... *shudder*)

A small addition to the scavenger hunt rules: bonus points for not using Google.

...and no bonus points for finding the phrase "ultramarine negritude". Just sayin'.

See what I mean? He's coming to visit over Memorial Day weekend, and I shall prove my brownie superiority to him. Till then, just be polite and smile and nod. I will even say "Yes, dear, yours are probably better". I can do that, I am just that nice.


And yes, I'm hoping that you will take a real camera, go outside in the real world and take pictures of things which present themselves. Staged photos are obviously good.

I just got off the phone with Mark. We'll do brownies during his next visit, and could be persuaded to mail some to a panel of judges.


Of course, we were supposed to bake brownies when I went to Minneapolis, but we forgot. Maybe we'll be better about it during this next visit.
