Geez I need some motivation today

It is going to be a lazy day. I have the feeling!! I have a ton of things to do around the house today, and I could even do some prep work for school next year, but I won't. It is hot, and humid, and it looks like it will rain at any moment.
I am waiting for a delivery that was supposed to be delivered on Friday, but got stuck in Illinois due to weather.
Today is also our 24th wedding anniversary. Next year is the big one.
Now if I could only get some motivation, and do something with today. Any suggestions?

Look at your to-do list and find a five-minute task. See if you can do it in less than 5 minutes. Then read a magazine article or do a quick puzzle or something fast but fun. Then do another 5 minute task in less than 5. Rinse and repeat.

Or, make a longer list. Before you start, make a pitcher of margaritas and put it in the fridge. Open the dridge every so often to make sure it's still there, but don't sit down to drink the margaritas until you finish the things on your list. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can finish a long list of tasks!

Just do nothing and enjoy the anniversary. It's a long race we run to last 24 years. So sit on the couch, watch soap operas, and eat bon bons. All the rest of the work will wait and still be there tomorrow.

I like all your suggestions, but I like Sandy's the best!! Hubby said on Saturday we should buy a case of "good" beer, and sit on the deck and drink all 24 of them. Wouldn't we impress our kids. (I probably am good for 2 of them, he'd have the rest!!)
I did get 3 loads of laundry done, and am going to start a bathroom.
The doorbell rang, I thought it was UPS with the delivery I am waiting for, it was flowers ! The delivery man wished me a Happy Birthday. They are beautiful.

Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, at least you got beautiful flowers!

When now-DH and I were dating, he once sent me flowers on my birthday. They arrived late in the day, after I'd already left. I worked at a cemetery office, and he got a good giggle imagining the delivery guy wandering around the cemetery trying to find where the flowers went. (The guy didn't go up there, he was just late in the day.)

Ok--Laundry done, delivery came, heading out to the drugstore.

I make a list and I watch tv. No, I'm serious. I give myself 15 minutes to do as much as I can, then I stop and watch 45 minutes of tv. It works. If it's not tv, it's computer time. Who am I kidding... it's really both at the same time

So I have one more thing to add to your "to do" list. Book a cruise to celebrate 25th anniversary!

Happy anniversary! Yours is close to mine - we just had our five-year one on the 21st. Definitely DON'T do school work - way too early in the summer for that!
