I needed a little pick-me-up yesterday so I dragged Chip to a place that always makes me smile: the Bronx Zoo.
Oh the wonders that a zoo can do.  Had a great day and got a few good shots out of the deal. Here are a few of the critters I was privileged to visit with
Sure beats the animals I encounter on a daily basis.

Awww!!
I was thinking of you a couple of weeks ago. My gang here is playing hooky from work later this month. They are traveling to Brooklyn to Shea Stadium to see the Phils play the mets. Real Phillie Phanatics here. They managed to get 3 tickets and booked the day.
The tickets arrived in a Mets envelope.

Sounds like fun. The girls are bugging for a zoo trip. I think I can put them off till September when it's cooler though.

It was always my favorite place to go as a kid. I used to go often when I was in high school since the school wasn't all that far away from it.
Lots of fond memories, plus, they are always building new state-of-the art exhibits. It's a new (happy) place every time I go there.
