The men tried to make amends before leaving, she said."The one guy that stabbed him, he says, 'You know what, I'm sorry, ma'am.' And he hugs me and said 'Please, we made a mistake,'" the woman said.The woman said the men still offered to give him a ride to the hospital and to his mother's home, but the man refused because he was so scared.

Huh. Ya think?!

Still, gotta give 'em a couple of points for apologizing and all that. Hundreds of demerits for beating and stabbing him, but a couple back for being nice afterward.

Sounds to me like the couple were in shock--but isn't that one for the books. A mistake stabbing. Then an apology.

I can't believe that woman came down the stairs carrying a stick! Some people are way braver than I am. I wonder if she was strong. I probably would have hid in a corner and just called 911.
