| | Mark is flying in for the weekend. We're going to Niagara-On-The-Lake to attend the Shaw FEstival, and we'll be seeing four plays over Saturday and Sunday. We're staying at a really cute B&B, having dinner in one of the local wineries, and I am so excited! This is going to be a fun weekend.
What are you guys doing? |

cleaning house and tearing out Hubby's bathroom vanity | Would you mind stopping in when you have a minute? My house is a disaster and I still have three days to go. It's amazing what two "boys" can do when I'm not around to pick up after them.
I'll probably be taking Monday off to recoup from the weekend.
So far I have a custom bracelet order to get done today for a gal from the animal shelter (if I don't come home with another dog this year, it will be a miracle) and the Chicks With Axes (Lumberjills act) want me to make them custom pendants with axes on them. That one will be a challenge.
So far no political campaign wives marching through (last year I got to shake Mary "Stepford Wife" Brownback's hand and hear about how great her husband was while the bobble head groupies that followed her everywhere nodded their heads in emphatic agreement)...although I suppose if Cindy McCain or Michelle Obama stopped by, I wouldn't say "Good luck with that" when they told me "My husband is running for President" like I did with Mrs. Brownback last year.
I did get interviewed by a local radio station yesterday. Of course, so did everyone else who could breathe that was at the fair
Off to get ready for the day. I've been having some fun with the church guys next to me, however I do have to skip through Cake's "Chicken McNuggets" on my iPod if it comes up. Somehow, I don't think they'd appreciate it.

| | Wow. You're lucky. I'm not sure how you talk your boys into letting you out all the time to have fun without them. My kids would never go for it. I'm totally jealous

Last night I burnt my arm stirfrying veggies. I have to wear a white gauze covering. Not happy about it for tomorrow.

I made that quite clear. This one is on the inside of my arm, between my wrist and elbow. It is my right arm, so it is very awkward. I think I really scared my husband too.

| | OMG....Les Miz!!!! I am totally green with envy.
I have seen Miss Saigon. meh. I hate the ending. It's like, over. Boom.
I would LOVE to see Aida or Phantom.
Another day, another day of fair. A very profitable one, however. I had two of my "fans" stop in, and had a new "fan" convert. And I danced for the church guys when it was time to wrap up for the night....okay, I was NOT dancing FOR them. But they were watching me. Bad boys.

| | Today is my birthday party. I don't go back to work til Wednesday, so I'll have a lot of time to do whatever I want. I think we'll go to the Bronx zoo this weekend. Kevin got the same days off as me. Sara's pictures inspired us to take a trip. I wanted to go to the Botanical Gardens too, but Kevin doesn't want to walk there "through that neighborhood."
Other than that, we're spending time with our little beastie girl, getting her registered, and giving her love. |

Nothing here but a 'hot date' with our lawnmower and the front and back lawn. A threesome . . .so to speak.
Feel free to be 'green' with envy.
More storms and rain this late afternoon / evening. What happened to typical Midwestern summer days/weeks/months..??
...tom...

| | Yesterday was Kevin's neice's party. She turned sweet 16. Her birthday is actually the same day as mine. She was the one who baked my birthday cake. I didn't bake her a cake (she wanted Carvel), but I did bake her pretzels!
Today I am cleaning yet again. I feel like I'm always cleaning. I did this on Saturday, now I'm doing it again today and it seems out of control. It's really not that bad, the mess is confined to the kitchen, and everything in the rest of the place can use a dusting since there is now dog hair on all my furniture.
After cleaning, my mom's coming over to meet Mimi. After we spend some time playing and walking with Meemster, we'll probably go to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. I love them and they just opened one nearby. Then I have training by confrence call for my second job this afternoon (bleh). I think Kevin has to find his brothers and get the tent down today from my party.
My party was lovely, it was so big and full of really nice people. Kevin's whole family was there, and all of mine. It's the first time they all met. It was wonderful! I'll post a pic or two tomorrow.
I still wanna do the zoo, but maybe that will be tomorrow. | |
