Searched the forums (albeit briefly) and found nothing on this or similar things so...
Candy company Cadbury Adams ( and their Sour Patch Kids candy ) is conducting an ongoing online game.
The website is
sweetsourgone dot com
Each week they have an 'auction' for a 'sweet' and 'sour' prize. For example, this week's sour prize is a broom. While the sweet prize is a $1000 prize for a bedroom makeover. ( Here is the easiest-to-read
list of prizes and winning bids so far... )
But the twist is that you are trying to make the
lowest unique bid to claim the prize.
For example, bids of 11, 11, 15, 15, 15, 16, 17, 17 . . .etc. would be won by the bid of 16 cents, as it is the lowest, unique number.
Theoretically, you need a game code from a product package to play. But you can also enter at the website by them giving you a code if you do not have one. So you have to buy nothing..!!
Anyway, my wife is a big fan of these 'sweet 'n sour' candies which is how I first learned of it.
So check it out if you like. Some pretty cool prizes, better odds than Powerball, and it si free..!!
