You have my sympathy as well. I've gone through something similar with my mom and now that she's gone I'm going through it again with my dad. May you all stay strong.

Dad has a living will that lines out pretty much everything in all the situations he could think of. He said he didn't want us to be burdened with anything. Hugs to you and your family. I know it can't be easy.

That is perhaps an important point (and warning) in the tale of your struggle.

It is important to recognize that point and allow decisions to be made while they still can be made logically and by the person most effected.

M.J., good luck to all of you. Those are difficult decisions to make, but it does sound like he's making the decisions he wants. It doesn't make it much easier on the rest of you, though.
