| | Minneapolis welcomes the RNC! | | Here is the sign I saw when I was there this week. I nearly got into a wreck when I first saw it, I was laughing so hard! |

| | Re Minneapolis welcomes the RNC! | | Did you see them skewering the Clinton for McCain folks the other day? Their lampooning of the pundits (traditional targets of The Daily Show) has been pretty funny.
Stewart actually had some substantial (and IMHO accurate) criticism of the Democrats tactics which he delivered right to Howard Dean. Fake news, indeed. |

I normally work 1 block from where McCain is staying while he is here. Every time he moves they are shutting down a 4 square block area around him. No one going in or out of the buildings. 45,000 additional people in Minneapolis/St Paul. Hundreds of extra buses. There are already out of towners wandering around downtown Minneapolis looking up at the big buildings instead of where they are going.
I am working from another job site until it is over... |

| | Re Minneapolis welcomes the RNC! | | Don't worry, the Dems have been dealt a lot of lumps on the show itself.

| | Re Minneapolis welcomes the RNC! | | And according to my sister, they're the only ones watching. Apparently she just can't imagine a Republican with a sense of humor.
I may have forgotten my Sarcasma this morning.

| | Re Minneapolis welcomes the RNC! | | The Daily Show has had a lot of fun at the current administrations expense in recent years. But, they are the administration. During the campaigning, the dems took their hits as well. Whichever party wins this go around will take more hits than the other - because thats the nature of the beast. I remember a lot of cigar jokes during the Clinton admin. A lot of Bush jokes during this admin. We'll see who the next target is. |

I am working from another job site until it is over... | Well no WONDER I couldn't find a damn hotel room. Didn't even think about the convention.
They'd better not get in my way of eating stuff on a stick, that's all I've got to say.

| | Re Minneapolis welcomes the RNC! | | I recently tasted avocado ice cream and sweet corn ice cream (no, I didn't order them, but I did get a free taste). Strangely they weren't as repulsive as I expected. And I do like red bean ice cream. |
