| | Finally, pictures of #1 and my new grandkitten:
This is Hadara. She was born under Gary's porch, and the last time Mark came to visit, he and #1 managed to catch her. She has #1 wrapped around her tiny paw, and is an absolute tyrant! And so, so soft and cute- I've always wanted a grandkitten! |

Congrats on the new kitten!

| | Yes. He has a small house. Rather, he has part of a small bed in Hadara's house. She kicks him if he stretches out full length in his bed. |

| | What a beautiful little cat.
I lost my old Peach yesterday and when I took a bulging bag of leftover canned food to the shelter, I nearly broke down. They said to come back as soon as I'm ready, but as hard as it is to imagine being catless for the first time since 1970, I just can't run out and get another one so soon.
But reading the paper this morning without the help of a furball in my lap was very weird. And I nearly jumped out of my skin when I walked into the den and saw a dark thing on the rug where Miss P used to sit; it was PM's shoes.
Veh es mir.

| | I'm so sorry. Peaches sounded like such a wonderful kitty. When you're ready, you will fall in love again with New Kitty, but I'm sending lots of hugs to you for now. |

| | Thanks for all the kind words. I got through the whole day yesterday without crying once, although I still see her all over the house. I think it will be a while before we get another cat, but in the meantime, we have three shelters where I can go hug them.
