I missed work again today. Tried to get up this morning and just didn't have the energy. All weekend I rested, but when I actually fell asleep, I started coughing to violently that I woke up and the pain in my throat and ear kept me from falling back asleep.
We're so busy at work, and this is a really bad time for me to be out.
I don't feel so much sick anymore - my sinuses are better, I can breathe, and I don't think I have a fever - but I feel very tired, disoriented and ...well, everything hurts.
And did I mention that the hives are back? Both Brian and I have them again. |

| | Well, you're not worried about the hives and the coincidence once again of you and Brian both having them at the same time so I'd conclude that you probably have some of that awful flu that is already going around. Some get it with the cough/cold symptoms that last longer than the usual 10 days and some are getting it with the vomiting symptoms and strep throat which has a shorter duration with medication. Don't even ask how many vomiting "episodes" we've all experienced at school lately |

| | Is it bronchitis? Erin had that and still isn't over it. She's well enough to do things, but is still coughing a good bit. And she went to the doctor two weeks ago yesterday. She had it for about two weeks before I finally gave up and took her to the doctor. Now I've got it, and it's the coughing thing too. If you've got what she/we have got, I'm afraid you're stuck with it for a while.
And boo to hives!

| | better today. Just really tired and heavy headed.
The hives last night were killers. I started wondering if I were imaging them, but the itch has been sooooo bad at night - and then there is nothing in the morning.
I woke up at 1:30, when I actually scratched one off (ouch). I got up and checked and I had a bunch of huge ones on my legs.
I had a really hard time getting back to sleep then woke up at 3:30. My leg was all cleared up (except for the one that I ripped off) but I had hives on my arms, shoulders and across my chest.
When I got up for work - nothing.
I don't get it. |

| | If they're coming and going that fast, it's probably not an allergy but I can't imagine how frustrating this must be. I hope your doctor figures it out soon!

| | Actually, Brian and I think we figured it out. I'm so sleep deprived - on Sunday I started taking an herbal sleep aid (melatonin and valarian). We think it is a reaction to that. |

| | His our very different than mine.
I'm not sure whats causing his. He has a lot of small ones that don't itch much. They may be from all the lawnwork he's doing.
Mine are huge and itch something fierce - and only at night. I'm fine during the day. |

| | It's not a brand - it's an ingredient. It's called sleeprx or sleepmd or something like that. It has valarian, melatonin, Q10 and some other stuff. |

It helped me fall asleep fast, and I got 1-2 wonderful hours of sleep - then the rest of the night was up with hives. |

| | ahem...dr's????
I really hope you're feeling better, but maybe try a cup of hot milk with honey instead of the hive producing other stuff. I have an ongoing itch issues from the nerves treated with steroids for my carpel tunnel. just in ONE flipping hand, mostly at night and in the morning-drives me crazy!!!
