There's a Darwin nominee, if he wasn't still alive anyway.

Re How do you NOT check your gas levels?

That brought back memories. When I was a kid not far from my house there was a truck stop. An 18 wheeler loaded with military bomb detonators was at the fuel pumps. An attendant (we had them then) was fueling the truck. He used a lighter to see if it was full and set the truck on fire. Bomb detonators exploded for hours. My playground at school was covered with shrapnel and unexploded detonators. It took several days for the military to clean up the mess and make the playground safe again. A lot of my neighbors thought it was the end of the world.

Re How do you NOT check your gas levels?

Luckily no one was even injured. There was a rumor that someone found a live detonator some time after, took it home and was killed when it exploded. That was never substantiated as far as I know. The truck and gas pumps were destroyed. The truck stop building had significant damage. It was a long time ago and I barely remember the details.

I'm trying to crack a joke here, but I think the stupidity level of the subject prevents me from doing so.
