Question Your Favorite Sports Columnist?

What writer floats your boat when it comes to writing about sports? Some like the analytical (Gammons, Boswell), some perfer the straight reporters (Kindred) or the opinionated (Wilbon, Lupica). What about you? Do you regularly read anyone, or worse, do you read their stuff aloud to others?

(Sorry, Kalynda. At least she knows she can always buy me a Boswell book when it comes out)

Side note - Those responding with George Will will be exiled to Health & Fitness.

Your old music cannot sustain you through a life, not if you're someone who listens to music every day, at every opportunity. You need input, because pop music is about freshness, about Nelly Furtado and the maddeningly memorable fourth track on a first album by a band you saw on a late-night TV show. And no, that fourth track is not as good as anything on Pet Sounds or Blonde on Blonde or What's Going On, but when was the last time you played Pet Sounds? - Songbook by Nick Hornby

Roger Angell for me. He's simply a joy to read. And it doesn't hurt that he's a fellow Sox fan.

Blackie Sherrod of the Dallas Morning News, naturally. On a national level, Rick Reilly of SI and Tony Kornheiser of the Washington Post.

I've always liked Mike Lupica. Particularly in the days when he wrote for the National.
