| | Has anyone noticed that Derek Jeter is a pretty good fielder? | | You know, 98% of plays are ones that anyone in the majors can make - that's why they are there. But on that 2%, it's the great ones that turn triples into outs. |

| | Tim McCarver sure said that he looked good even though he got hurt on the play in the 5th or 6th. But he really didn't praise him to the heavens for that throw that nailed Bautista on the double almost triple.
Here's a question that just came up --- WHY IN HELL IS CURT SCHILLING BATTING IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SEVENTH?
Rookie managers, sheesh. |

| | If you want him to pitch, he has to bat. I would take Schilling in the 8th v. anyone in their bullpen right now. BUT they need offense, you are right about that. If they had any bullpen at all I am sure they would have pinch hit. |

| | Sorry. I go with Batista in the 8th and Johnson in the 9th. Or Batista in the 8th and 9th. Or Batista in the 8th and even Kim in the 9th.
How much more does Schilling have?
And I wouldn't have sent Womack just now either! |

| | OK, so pull Schilling...
In truth, I think they should have pulled him after 7. Way too many batters were putting bats on the ball in the 7th. I think this one could be over.
P.S. No secret about what he said after hurting his hand and going out in the 8th... |

| | Ya know, Mike. The 6 minutes between my last post and your last post just changed the mood in Phoenix big time.
BTW, aren't they in the desert?
Q: Why is it raining during Game 7 of the World Series?
A: Because God is saddened now that the Hated Yankees are about to win their 4th in a row. |

| | I will say this - if the DBacks can win this game against Rivera, they deserve every piece of the win in spades. I don't see it happening. |

Let the record show I called Batista in the 8th and Johnson in the 9th. Okay, part of the 8th too, but the guys now warming in the Arizona bullpen must have their confidence shattered. |
