Your thoughts: Sheffield to Braves, Jordan and Perez to Dodgers

For those of you who haven't heard, yesterday, the Atlanta Braves traded RF Brian Jordan, LHSP Odaliz Perez, and a minor leaguer to the L.A. Dodgers for RF Gary Sheffield.

What do you think? Good trade? Bad trade?

Well, it gives the Braves more power, which is all to the good. But Sheffield is a clubhouse cancer, apparently, and they had to give up speed and pitching.

It may be what the Braves have to do to keep pace with the Mets, though.

Sheffield did hit eleven more home runs than Jordan last year, but wound up the season with only three more RBIs.

I think the trade will be a wash, except for Sheffield's disruptive influence on the Braves.

I think it works out well for the Mets. Jordan always killed them. It'll be nice not having him on their greatest rival.
