| | As long as Kurt Warner isn't hurt more seriously than they're letting on, the Rams should win. There's just too much darn talent on that team ... whoever ends up with the AFC title has got their work cut out for them.
Ailsa
trying to decide who to root for in the AFC game (since they're both her home teams) |

| | Being former St. Louisans, we are, of course, rooting for the Rams!
You know, Karen, a lot of them go to the St. Louis Family Church (off I40 not far from Chesterfield Airport Road.) Pastor Perry is their chaplain. It's a very, very charismatic church (they have a Christmas pageant and live camels come down the aisles with the three Kings.) Pastor Perry's daughter, Chelsea, went to high school with my son, and they were in drama club together.
The Rams' success is really due to the power of prayer (I have a friend who went to that church, and they have wonderful fine arts camps for kids in the summertime, very reasonably priced.)
During the last Superbowl the Rams were in, an opposing player became injured, and Warner went over and prayed over him. I thought that was kind of cool.

What's your spin on the thought that the Eagles will/would do anything short of assassination to...uhh...remove Warner from the game ?
The local rag here (Iowa) had quotes from a Philly writer about the need to get him out of the game. (I am paraphrasing...could not find the actual quote online.)
I realize it IS football, but the quote reprinted here was rather 'forceful'.
Just curious

| | I guess we will have to wait till tomorrow to see how the game turnes out. I dont think they are letting on about how Kurt Warner is really doing. But also rembember how many points the Rams Defence got last week. At least Kurt Warner is not our only weapon.
Frazzledspice--- You are right. Kurt Warner seems to be a very caring person. There are many players that have started up charities. Especialy for the kids. Thats neat about the church.. Thanks for letting me know.
GO RAMS!!!!!! |

| | I think the Eagles have a very strong mindset--and will do whatever to play the game. I don't think they will do any intentional harm--or target Warner if that is what you are wondering, but I don't think they will tiptoe around him either.
Sports net this morning gave the Eagles 1 point over the Rams, 20-19. I think it will be a very hard fought game, both are very talented teams.
Of course, I must say that my loyalties are with the EAGLES no matter the stats. I am a Philadelphia fan.
Now I won't reveal the pickle juice, no that is a secret!!!

--snip-- | Found the quote, finally, online at... "all that the rules provide"...
Interesting read, IMO...

| | Good article Sleeper. Can't say I diagree with it. Most of Philadelphia is in amazement about the fine Hugh Douglas received.
For some reason the Eagles always seem to get the hard knocks. I liked the last statement--Warner, and the Birds deserve all fairness from the league. We'll see what today brings!!
I now have to to grocery shopping--to feed my hubby and son during the game!!!!

Like some other 'championship' cities have in the past...:-(

| | I hope St. Louisians are above looting their city. When the Rams won last time there were no incidents that I heard of.
Message to all St. Louisians, Make our city proud... Go Rams!! | | |
