OMG, what a game! It was hard to see the U.S. lose, but absolutely wonderful to see Canada win. Congrats to all the Canucks!

Congrats to Canada...I love hockey, but missed the game due to an important nap I just had to take.

Well worth the wait. What a game, and what a finish. Our highest medal count ever in a Winter Olympics and 4th overall in the medal count. |

I have to say, in both the men's and the women's hockey matches Canada just hands down outplayed the U.S. - most especially in the women's match. What great games and HOORAY for Canada! 
I also have to admit, I think I have found a new sport that I really groove on, how odd that I never noticed hockey much before.
Now, can anyone explain "icing" to me?

The definition of icing, according to Merriam-Webster's:
to shoot (an ice hockey puck) the length of the rink and beyond the opponents' goal line
Counts as icing if:
a) a member of team A shoots the puck out of his/her end of the rink
b) it goes all the way down to Team B's end of the rink, past the goal line
c) and a member of team B (aside from the goalie, I think) touches the puck before anyone on Team A gets to it
