Heck, she's leaving the state. Moving to Missouri. The only conceivable dark cloud in this is that the clerk who works at the last hotel I worked at is working HER last day THERE because she's got a new job, and so can't come work with me up here.

And I actually managed to smile at her and tell her I'm glad she's found a good job somewhere else, because I know we've had our differences, but I can see that things have been rough for her lately... without choking. I even got through the part where she was telling me that she knew that my co-auditor had moved to third shift to get away from the bad BAD manager who's just SO mean to poor “Alice,” and everyone else, too...

So, yeah, am I happy? You BET I'm happy. First the idiot coworker, now her. Now, if I can just manage to outlive the General Manager...

Maybe if you told her that Alice no longer works with you she might think your place would be better than her new place.

Maybe, maybe not. The job she's got sounds like a sweet deal. (And to be perfectly honest, I'm REALLY happy that this girl has gotten such a nice job. I've been trying to get her to leave the hell hole she's at for YEARS, now.) And she did work with "Alice" at one point in time... but she apparently didn't work with her long enough to hate her.

Uh, yeah, so "Alice" used to work at the hotel that I used to work at, but she quit there before I started there, and we met when I started working where I am now. This is almost as convoluted as the cab driver that I knew who worked for one company when I worked for the old hotel, and who works at a new company that my current hotel does business with almost exclusively. Hotels are SO inbred.

This one already has. He's not horrible, at least not to me personally (not in the way that Mr. Show-up-at-6:30am-when-I've-had-a-night-from-hell-and-pester-me-for-his-reports from the BAD place did) but I've heard some weird stuff about him that just disinclines me to trust him.

Not that I ever actually TRUST GM's, but you know what I mean.
