Offsites

We have an offsite scheduled today. Offsites in our company usually involve 1/2 day off of "team-building" activity. Our plans for the day:

Lunch at a Mexican restaurant
Mini-golf or shopping at some boutiques (all-female team) if it's too damn hot to golf.

Expenses are on our own...company-sponsored offsites are usually reserved for the winter holiday party, but it should be fun, and unless I drop some big bucks at the Dog Boutique , should be under $20.

I'm always looking for suggestions for team-building events. Any ideas, or does your company do any offsite activities?

Lynn

Re Offsites

We have a faculty meeting every other Friday--after school. Happy Hour. The location rotates, we don't want to become regulars!!!

Re Offsites

We have too many interruptions during the workweek for a meeting on this or a meeting on that. Then we get chewed because we're falling behind and "not putting in enough hours."

Re Offsites

The minute you said "team building" I was hearing ROPES Course. I think I was scarred for life.

Re Offsites

Our "off-sites" are usually "party at someone's house this weekend" sorts of things. The Army is supposed to be all about team-building, but that mostly seems to go on for the enlisted soldiers, not the officers.
