I Really Need To Find A New Job

Not including night auditors, we have five front desk people. Lets call them Me, coworker 1, coworker 2, and coworker 3 and coworker 4. Coworker 4 is part time and works another job full time. Coworker one is my "Alice" aka the royal PITA.

Coworker 2 no-showed friday, and isn't coming back. that left me working an 11 hour shift today to cover the desk-because God forbid Alice change her plans.

Coworker 3 turned in notice a week ago-he was supposed to work the next three nights(4.5 hours a night) and tonight he NO SHOWED.



But really, while the ops manager is helping me check in some guests, all I could think of was-she's being way to nice to these people.

Of course, then who is going to train your new folks?

Is five the normal number or were you already down?

five is enough to cover all shifts, and have a mid person. in the slow time it's one person too many. we are a smaller hotel, with only two computers to check people in so the max you can really have is 2 per shift, and you don't need two night auditors on at once.

so let them hire more, and then you'll be the senior person and can insist on getting all the best shifts!!
