Ha! I started a trend.

Now I can't help but wonder if my bosses are going to hate me... I apparently started a trend at work.

People are quitting by the droves. Since I submitted my resignation, we've had five others tender theirs as well... including one supervisor.

Of course, it could very well just be bad timing...

Re Ha! I started a trend.

I think sometimes someone has to break the ice for others to think, "Hey, wait a minute, I don't have to work here either!"

How's your last couple weeks going?

Re Ha! I started a trend.

Okay. I've been proving to them that I don't have Shortimer's Disease. A few people have accused me of it already, but our productivity is calculated daily. In the last week alone, my productivity was the highest in the department every day. Yesterday, I told the person who thought I had Shortimer's to put my numbers in her pipe and smoke it. Management is actually very impressed that I've not slacked off. I want to have an awesome reference in 18 months when I start looking for a job -- the last thing I want is something negative to cap off almost 15 years of dedicated service.

Yesterday was the last of my new assignments. So, between now and the 19th, they want me to attempt to close 86 files. What they don't understand is that every one of my files that are open is dependent upon our clients submitting paperwork. So, between now and then, I get to beg people to send me their stuff.

My next goal is to go through every one of those files and to do a recap of each, explaining what has been done and what needs to be done, so that my replacement can figure out where to go from there. He starts on Monday.
