Post Missing Personnel

Good Grief! I am going through hell at work. I have a mountain of paperwork on my desk that has mysteriously grown. This is odd and slightly amusing but more sad then the both. There are about 130-something people that I have to keep track of but I am one person off. Either I have on one database someone I shouldn't or I am missing one person on other databases. And all the of the sections are wrong except for one, when it comes to calculating what they have, because they were extremely off from what I have. So I had to go down their lists and fix what they should have.
And I still cant figure it all out. My head is swimming. I can't seem to concentrate on anything and I will be here for the next 24 hours. This is a bad way to start, don't you think? So now I am going to spend a lot of time with highlighters, red pens, the shredding machine, and print-offs of all of the databases. To find the missing link. What a mess this is going to be, $%#*!

Christine

Re Missing Personnel

You ever feel like your mind and self are racing but your hands just can't seem to keep up. I feel like that today. It is really an odd feeling, even while typing I find that I have to pause. maybe I am malfunctioning this morning.

Re Missing Personnel

Well the pile of paperwork is gone. And someone is definitly in trouble tommorrow. I think if figured out who the missing person is. I think the person had left the company, but the other person who works in the office only subtracted the personnel from one of the databases. So I am going to go through the list of losses and that should tell me who it is.
Now that my head is clear, I can think soundly and I have figured it out! I hope.

Re Missing Personnel

Update! I found the person and it was just as I thought. So I think I am going to write out every step of what is supposed to be done.

Re Missing Personnel

It is just ridiculus. If people did things the right way the first time. I wouldn't have to clean up their mess. But at least it is fixed!

Wow, you just chrystalized my job description into two sentences.

Of course, you've also defined the exact extent of my job security. I think I'm pretty safe.

Re Missing Personnel

Your job security? It does make you wonder though how many people go to work but don't actually do anything while there. If you add up all the people everyone here at EA knows that doesn't actually work, I bet it would be a sad number.
On the bright side at least I know I won't be losing my job anytime soon!

Re Missing Personnel

Oh, the people in my hotel work. Sometimes they even work very hard. It's just that there's the difference between working hard and working smart. But, as long as they make deskclerks and restaurant servers, they'll always need me to interpret what the clerks and servers submit in their paperwork.

Re Missing Personnel

Hmmm that's the way it works. As long as they keep bringing in, losing people. And have the need to take care of finances for those people and all... there will be a need for people like me.
