Workplace Stupidity Kills

Eris, put down your taser and start practicing yoga or something.

And people often ask me how I can stand working third shift. I just laugh, and laugh, and laugh. And then they go to bed.

This has got to be a first. Snopes lies to us:

Re Workplace Stupidity Kills

And I was just going to say that it couldn't be true or people who do tech support for assorted computer companies would all be dead -- or so my son tells me. He doesn't work WITH stupid people, he works providing tech support FOR stupid people.

As in:
"How do I turn on my computer?"

"Why can't you see what's happening on MY computer screen?"

"Why can't you tell me my password?"

Those are real questions and the list just gets longer. Nope, other people's stupidity will only kill you if it involves hazardous chemicals, biologicals, or explosive devices.

Re Workplace Stupidity Kills

I sort of got a promotion-more work, same money-I'm suddenly personally responsable for several hundred people getting paid every payday

SO I email out my contact info to all my contacts-basicly a "hi, here is my info" followed by my signature which includes my name, company I work for, address, phone and fax numbers.

first email I get back is "what is your email address?" I don't know wether to or

then I email one person to get a timesheet. She emails me back saying so and so has it(the person who trained me) um no, she doesn't-then this person tells me so and so said to send it to her. I email back saying-well, I'm your new contact person-please send EVERYTHING to me. followed by an email from this woman saying"you should have it by now" but she didn't attach anything.

Re Workplace Stupidity Kills

Snopes is way off. I figured it was fake with the Wite Out bit, but they are DEAD WRONG. I had horrible migraines and was developing an ulcer with one boss.

Judy, make sure that your son knows about Bastard Sysop From Hell if he doesn't already. It will help him get through many a day.
