I really do.
Been having issues with the coworker. Lately the three nights we work together, I spend the whole night working, she spends three to four hours in the manager's office playing on her computer and yakking with the housekeepers. I understand that she's on medication right now, and that she sometimes gets confused about stuff, but it's at the point where I'm doing more work than I was doing back when the other idiot was here.
Now, of course, I could go to the comptroller. The problem is, the comptroller thinks the coworker and I are having personality differences. The last time we had a flair up, the comptroller literally told me that a) I was the *only* person who had a problem with this coworker, and b) that I was also the *only* person who had a problem with the previous coworker. Never mind that the biddies in the accounting department come to *me* and tell me when they have problems with the coworkers (both of them). "Nobody" ever told her (HAH!) they had a problem with the work that the other two were(n't) producing.
So, last night I fixed the latest problem that the coworker had left for other people to fix for her (because it's not like *fixing* screwups is part of the job, or anything). I called one of the accounting biddies to make sure she knew that the issue had been taken care of.
She basically told me that, on every night the coworker is alone, she leaves huge messes for other people to fix. I knew this, of course, since I'm often one of the ones fixing the messes. I told her about the coworker not doing much of anything on the nights I'm there. And I told her that she and the other biddies *need* to go talk to the comptroller about the coworker's work. Because, at this point, *that* is becoming a serious issue. I told her that if I were to say anything, without the biddies backing me up, the comptroller would just blow me off, and I'd be getting myself all stressed out with no discernable solution foreseeable.
So, now, I've armed the biddies against the coworker. I hate having to be a bitch about this, but I'm almost at the end of my rope. If the coworker's having issues that make it impossible for her to perform the job, then maybe this isn't the job she should be doing.
heh.
LAUNCH ATTACK BIDDIES!
(Seriously, these are not women you want to mess with. They eat their own young. I have proof.)
