It that a good sign?

You submit an online resume about 21:30 CST.

You receive a call @ 13:44 CST the next day asking you to call back to set up a brief telephone interview with the HR representative.

I have basically been in the same company for 7 years as of today as a matter of fact. The company just happened to be bought out about 1 3/4 years ago by a new company, but they let me keep my tenure.

Your thoughts?

See what they have to say. Nothing to lose but everything to gain. Your credentials must be great...tenure is great....but, it's very good to keep yourself in the loop with what is going on in your field today. Good luck.

Thanks. I was taking it as a good sign, and it certainly doesn't hurt to keep your eyes open!

I had an interview with this same company in mid - November by telephone almost 1 week after applying. Then, we set up the live interview just 3 days after that and a second interview about 2 weeks after the HR formal interview.

It did not pan out, but, there is always a reason that something doesn't work out.

It's just one of those nerve-wracking things!

I no longer get real nervous about interviews. I'm who I am - I'm either the right match or I'm not, so I can be myself.
You know what you're capable of. If you're the right person for the job, they'll see it!
