| | Re OMG - what should we do now | | it used to be *57 would trace the call, I cannot remember if it gave YOU the number or allowed the police access to the info.
Regardless, I call bullsh*t on the whole they can't trace the number. I'm sure they can if they try. and not just 'cause they do it on CSI
Set up a recorder and tell them every time that you are recording and tracing the call. Hopefully they move on to harrass someoen else soon.

| | Re OMG - what should we do now | | Wormie, did you file the complaint with Florida's Public Utilities Commission? That would light a fire under the cops and the phone company. |

| | Re OMG - what should we do now | | Actually I gave up.
I called the cops. I called the FTC. someone else can deal with it. Yesterday they called again, but this time they asked for the boss and he wasn't here. |

| | Re OMG - what should we do now | | Cool!
Thanks!
The only problem is that I can only file an official complaint if I know the company that is calling or the phone number that they're calling from. To get that I need the cops to get the number from the phone company. It's a pain. I couldn't file with the state of Florida because I had nobody to make a complaint against. |

| | Re OMG - what should we do now | | Nope. According to El, you file the complaint. Tell them that the police haven't budged in getting the phone company subpoenaed and they should take care of it for you.
(Technically, at this point, you are complaining about YOUR phone company doing nothing about the harrassment) |

| | Re OMG - what should we do now | | Here we go again.
I'm on hold with the police.
This guy who calls is a pig and on top of the business stuff, he's harrassing me personally. He's repulsive. |

| | Re OMG - what should we do now | | They spoke to the boss on Friday.
Called back today. The same pig that was sexually harrassing me. Offered to pay me for sex again and promised I'd like it. I hung up on him, but he keeps calling back so I had to listen to all his trash talk before I could get him to not call back. He promised that since I'm harrassing HIM he'll call back every day until I do what he wants (the phone part - not the sex part - I think)
I spoke to the police again. This time I got a nice detective who was more helpful. He explained what we have to do with the phone company in order to get the number traced, and THEN he can sopeona the number and THEN I can report it to the FTC and the State Attny Office. |

| | Re OMG - what should we do now | | It's ridiculous.
If I hang up on him, he keeps calling back.
If I let him say what he has to say, he says disgusting things and blows slobbery kisses into the phone. He's a PIG.
I gave CCW1 the info to add the feature we need to the phone system. Boss doesn't care what we have to pay for it, but I'm afraid that with the type of sequential lines we have we can't get it. There are two phone configurations - one works, the other doesn't, so I'm hoping.
And then it says it can only trace calls in a certain network, and since we have no way of knowing where they are calling from, it might not even work! |

| | Re OMG - what should we do now | | He's more than a pig -- he's an obscene caller. Just hang up the instant you recognize his voice. Don't say a word. Don't let him talk. Just hang up immediately. If/when he calls back, just hang up again. Obscene callers thrive on getting a reaction, so don't give it to him. And keep on following up with what the helpful cop said to do. |

| | Re OMG - what should we do now | | I like that solution. Or you could do what I do with telemarketers, just say NO once, and then set the phone down without hanging up. His line is now tied up, and since you have multiple lines, you will still get incoming calls.
There's got to be some kind of solicitation law if he is offering to pay you for sex. This boy's going to be in big trouble when he gets caught.

I thought that they might have a beef with the sexual harrasment part, but they say they can't do much except help me get the phone number from Bellsouth and then let me report it to the state. |

| | Re OMG - what should we do now | | Wormie,
Do you have an airhorn?
I know this worked for a friend, though it pissed of her neighbors.
Everytime the guy called, she had an airhorn by the phone. She'd blast it.
He stopped after a while. But it took a while.
