| | OK, you guys stay in hotels, right? | | Why would you call the desk multiple times at 11:39 pm with a maintenance guy sort of complaint and then get mad when the front desk tells you they can a) send maintenance up now to fix the problem or b) send maintenance up in the morning if that's more conveninent for you? Seriously? I mean why get mad when the front desk offers to fix the problem? Am I missing something here?
No, still don't have that magic wand.
(And I'm not even going to start on the people that call about getting a wakeup call who don't know what time they want to wake up.)

| | Re OK, you guys stay in hotels, right? | | Those wake up call people...
you could call every hour on the hour and say, "do you want to get up NOW?" "Are you ready to get up NOW?"

Man, I'd never have thought that they just wanted a free room, I'd be thinking they were just nuts.

| | Re OK, you guys stay in hotels, right? | | Probably everyone's right, they want something comped. However, I toss it under the heading, "Some customers can be jack@$$es and there's no pleasing some of them -- ever." |

| | Re OK, you guys stay in hotels, right? | | I am always surprised by the strange things people do just in general. I don't think my nerves could take woroking in a hotel. Eris, you are a saint. I think I would need a lot of bail money if I worked there.
The only time I ever got upset with maintenance in a hotel was when I heard bumping in my bathroom while I was in the shower. Apparently, the room below mine complained of water leaking around their toilet base, and the genius maintenance guy in a blinding fit of inspiration figured that it was the bathroom in my room leaking down to the room below. Of course, it really was just their toilet leaking, and besides that I nearly deafened the man after I opened the shower curtain to see what the funny noise was only to find a man holding a big-ass wrench just outside my bathtub. |

thank you, I was begining to get agravated with my new job, now you've reminded me why I am no longer at a hotel. I will gladly put up with an imature coworker in exchange for not dealing with guests like that ever again.
