Dammit!

OK, so we've been having yet ANOTHER chronic computer problem. For months. Lots of months. I was tracking it when it first started, but nobody paid any attention. Then I pointed out, "hey, we're losing money because of this." Then they sort of started paying attention. So then everybody started asking ME about what the problem was. I told them I didn't have a clue, I was just tracking it. Then I noticed a pattern. On experimenting, I noticed that the pattern was indeed part of the problem. Finally, I issued memos to everybody, pointing out what I had noticed. I just got an email from the comptroller, and I was right. The pattern I noticed was the indeed the key to the whole computer problem.

Again, I fixed the issue. Dammit, how are these guys ever going to learn to observe things and practice problem solving skills if I'm always the one to figure things out?

Oh, hell, of course not. All in a days work and all that. On the bright side, the comptroller did publically credit me.

then credit yourself and make sure everyone knows it.

or quit and find somewhere that they will appreciate you. I'd suggest payroll-it's a different kind of hell but it's a better one than hotel hell.
