Didn't want to get up this morning, but I did. Showered, dressed got ready to leave. Brian left, and just as he closed the door, the Beast attacked my Birdie. I went out to see what happened, and he was afraid of the spray bottle and took off. I made sure Birdie was ok and wasn't going to scold Scooter until, in his haste to hide he attacked Bogey. I saw him flee into the bedroom so I grabbed the spray bottle. He dissappeared under the bed. I gave just one tiny spray and went back to the kitchen. Put down the bottle. Then I smelled something. OMG I sprayed him with Clorox Cleaner! I raced into the bedroom and managed to grab him before he got under the bed again. Took him into the bathroom and did a full body check. He didn't seem to be wet anywhere. All dry and not complaining. He didn't even try to bite me. I knew he would hate a bath, but I couldn't bare the idea that I might have burned him. I felt so guilty! I'm a horrible mom. I feel like the evil step-mom! I cuddled and apologized and told him how much I love him and checked him over and over again for damage. Finally he had enough and sunk his teeth into my hand. Ouch! I suppose I deserved that.
Then I finally left the house - just a few minutes late. The commute was hellacious. Rain, traffic, rain, traffic - changed roads, traffic. No line at the Dunkin Donuts so I raced through the drive through. Then I got stuck at the train tracks. Back on the highway and I see traffic slowing again. Up ahead at my exit I see a huge plume of smoke. Get closer. This truck is just at my exit. A big delivery truck with smoke pouring out! So now my innate fear of driving by when it explodes kicks in, and of course everyone has to slow down to gawk so I'm stuck in the danger zone.
Finally get to work. Can you spell "Oh-my-God-I-have-the-migraine-from-hell"?  Took medicine, but I'm miserable!
I did get an order which is good, but my head hurts, it's pouring, and I'm not thrilled to be here.

Poor Wormie! I've had days like that where nothing seems to go right. But today's not one of them, fortunately.
No rain here, but we're getting ready to soar into triple digits for temps. I'll be spending plenty of quality time in the A/C bead cave this weekend, I'm thinking.

MJ - I heard there was a tornado in Westchester! Eek! I remember an Earthquake when I lived in Brooklyn. Stay dry and safe.

We've had tornados, jail, lightning fires, green/black sky, etc for a couple of days. Tomorrow will be clear but high 90s. So I feel your pain with the crap weather adding to misery. |

We have had a surprisingly few number of bad storms this year. I think I can count on one hand how many tornado warnings we've had. Sorry it's hitting you folks on the east coast, but I don't miss them!
I may not be having a bad day, but I'm tired! Didn't stay up too late last night, but I think I got up too early. Ready for a nap!!!

Mine's hurt all freaking week. Damn tmj, I've decided. My jaws hurt really bad too.

Poor wormie. I have the same issues, just not the tummy ache. I wonder if TMJ is somehow linked to barmetric pressure? You have rain, we had rain earlier in the week and are now having storms....I was not bad on the days between when it was clear.

OMG, Delia, what a terrible day! I hope you're better now.
And yep, migraines/headaches are supposedly related to barometric pressure, at least accoridng to my nureologist. Ugh. IT's why all five of us have been in SWAT mode this entire week. |

Poor Bear has it now. Last night he had "an axe in his head" and a tummy ache. I took his temp before bed and it was 101.7. Motrin, sleep and fluids. He's a little better this a.m., just called me and his temp is down to 99.7. I told him to take Motrin and drink some Sprite...he called back because he couldn't figure out the childproof cap.

Poor Bear!
My headache finally went away, although I then had to deal with the post-headache blahs. I HATE that!
Weirdest thing happened this morning. Felt perfectly fine, was bopping along. Had a small glass of Coke, but nothing to eat yet. All of a sudden, my stomach felt weird and at first I thought I was hungry. Few seconds later I realized, no, I'm nauseous. A minute later my Coke was gone. I now feel fine and am cautiously nibbling at a bagel. Just BAM out of nowhere.
And no, it's not THAT! Auntie just left a few days ago.
