Can you say, "Ba Bye CCWs?"
I can - or will be soon.
Quite unexpectedly a great opportunity has fallen into my lap. I was approached by another company and offered a job here near home that is really a pretty perfect match for me. I'll be working in my area of expertise, I'll have a lot more responsibility, be working for a good established company, have a much more attractive commute, a sallary that will help to take the bite out of all my increased expenses,a nd a lot of opportunity for growth.
Told the boss today. He's out of the country, but he accepted my resignation quite graciously. He was very kind and considerate. While the CCWs have made me crazy, he is a good man and has been very fair to me since I've been here.
I need to call the new place to negotiate a starting date since the boss asked for a bit more notice, but I think all will be fine and this will be a very good move for me.
It will cut down on my time at EA during the day, and you'll all have to learn to live without CCW stories (I pray).  |

Well, the work day will be a bit longer, but the commute will be shorter.
I will be productive though. It's strange, there are some really exciting new projects coming up at the existing job, and I was looking forwards to working on those - I wish they had happened earlier, but timing it what it is. I am underutilized here and we all know it. I need more money and couldn't have asked for it. Now I'll earn my keep and I'll work hard. It's a shame that the timing is such that I might have finally been able to really do more here, but on so many levels this new job is perfect. I'm very excited about it. |

Boss and I decided that there is no need to say anything now. He wants me to give him 2 weeks after he gets back, so if we say anything it won't be till next week. I'm fine with just disappearing, but whatever the boss decides is fine with me. |
